Whether you are visiting our website as an existing parent, a potential parent or as a member of our local or wider community, we are sure you will enjoy finding out a little more about our wonderful school. The children, staff and governors are extremely proud of our school and as the Executive Headteacher and Head of School it is a privilege to work in partnership with everyone but most importantly our wonderful children! Our distinctive features include a strong inclusive ethos where children are kept at the heart of all we do. Our vision statement of “Dream, Achieve, Inspire” comes to life through our child centred and enquiry-based approach to teaching and learning which encourages and supports children to become enthusiastic, positive and resilient learners. We have a clear focus on raising standards in all aspects of the curriculum by inspiring children in their learning whilst also ensuring children develop the personal and social skills, they need to be successful in life. We are going through a really exciting stage in our school’s development as we consider further development of our curriculum as part of our partner schools (the Chalklands Cluster) and across our multi academy trust where skills, knowledge and enjoyment are at the heart of all we do. Visitors to the school comment on the warm, positive family atmosphere and take pleasure from the children’s enthusiasm for learning, positive learning behaviours and friendliness. We have an excellent team of staff who are fully committed to working in partnership with families and the local community to ensure that every child in the school is happy, safe, secure and achieves success in both their learning and personal achievements. We believe full partnership with all members of our community is the best way to ensure success for our children and therefore encourage others to engage in school life. For parents, there are a range of opportunities for you to get involved in including parent workshops, membership of the Friends of Chestnut Park a new initiative this academic year, attending performances, volunteering in school and accompanying classes on school trips. We have already developed close links with many members of the local community but always welcome more. Please do let us know if you are interested in supporting our children’s learning! This is an exciting time for the school as we continue to implement the many changes taking place across the educational landscape. Visits to the school are encouraged. Please contact the school office to arrange an appointment. I look forward to meeting you.
Best Wishes
