School Meals
School Lunch
For the Year 2024-25 all children from Reception to Year 6 are now entitled to receive free school meals. This is under the Mayor of London's cost of living support. More information can be found here https://www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/what-mayor-does/priorities-london/free-school-meals
School meals are provided by Chartwells and menus are sent out in advance.
We have a 3 week rolling menu for our school lunches - the dates are at the top of each menu page.
Please see attached to the link to see the Winter 2024 menu.
***Please note that due to the conflict with Russia and Ukraine, there may be a disruption to the supply chain, therefore the menu is subject to change.***
Please see the newsletter from Chartwells regarding Spring menus. There is a booklet all about school meals and a poster about a special menu day in January
A Healthy Lunchbox
If you choose for your child to have a packed lunch, please ensure it is a healthy lunchbox with food that creates a balanced diet. No chocolates or nuts should be included.
Please ensure that your child's lunchbox is clearly labelled with their name and class.
- Snacks such as crisps should not be included (unless they are healthy crisps). Instead, include vegetables and fruit (with no added salt, sugar or fat). Savoury crackers or breadsticks served with fruit, vegetables or dairy food are also a good choice.
- Confectionery such as chocolate bars, chocolate-coated biscuits and sweets should not be included. Cakes and biscuits are allowed but these should be part of a balanced meal.
- Starchy food, such as bread or pasta, rice, couscous, noodles, potatoes or other cereals, should be included every day.
