Year 2 class names were voted for by the children and were chosen from famous music artists that have had an impact on modern music.

Yolanda Brown is a British saxophonist and vocalist known for her fusion of jazz, soul and contemporary sounds. Her dynamic performances and original compositions showcase her versatility and creativity. In addition to her musical achievements, Brown is dedicated to inspiring young audiences through her work with children, offering educational workshops and performances that foster a love for music in the next generation.

Phil Collins is a British musician celebrated for his work as both a solo artist and the lead drummer of Genesis. Collins also made a significant impact in film music, composing memorable songs for Disney’s "Tarzan," including the Academy Award-winning "You'll Be in My Heart." Despite facing challenges with his health, Collins' passion for music remains unwavering and he continues to inspire with his perseverance and creativity.

Aretha Franklin, known as the "Queen of Soul," is one of the most influential vocalists in music history. With unforgettable hits such as "Respect" and "Think," she left a lasting impact on soul, gospel, and R&B music. Beyond her musical legacy, Franklin was a dedicated philanthropist who supported numerous charitable causes, including efforts to advance civil rights and improve the lives of children and underserved communities.
